Is disagreement hateful?

Is disagreement hateful?

I am glad that people are excited about healthcare and the president's speech on education but I am surprised at the reactions to debate. I usually disagree with people and keep my comments to myself. That is why I write (occasionally) - if you are interested then you can read.

Because I disagree a lot with socialists like President Obama. It isn't because he is black or democrat. I didn't like President Bush's socialism either. He was good at killing terrorists but he is a pretty big liberal. Bush was left of JFK.

About the school speech:

Our children go to a charter school because we don't like the public schools. We have thought of homeschooling. We knew that the school wouldn't show the speech. They don't do anything but academics. They don't do politics. We got suckered by the White House release that said this was the first speech of a president to school children. I credited that to Obama's ego but turns out it wasn't true. But regardless, we had other objections. Not interesting to list them all. We don't need the President to kick off the school year. The principal did that just fine. I don't like training the little ones in our celebrity culture that they should pay attention the Dear Leader. It's weird that he wants to address children. Its creepy. I don't want parenting help from socialists. I am not interested in their view of the world. My most important objection is that this is not the president's job. The president has nothing to do with education. Zip! Zero! Nothing to do with healthcare either. He is training a generation that the President should be involved in these decisions. I don't care care what anyone in DC thinks. I am as interested in Pres. Obama's thoughts on education as colonials were of King George's stamp on their newspapers.

Yes, I would have pulled the kids out of school. They can watch the speech on Youtube if they care but I would do it to show them they don't have to listen to the president. They should ignore him when he over steps his authority. Giving speeches to children on education is not the proper role of government.

And some people listened to the speech and didn't see anything wrong with it. So what? They changed it after everyone objected. Did you read the original lesson plans? Very bad. You can still find them because people downloaded them before they were rewritten.

President Obama is wrong on healthcare. Obamacare is worse than hillarycare. People don't want it. Its a stupid idea. Healthcare is not a right. Health insurance is not a requirement. Your sickness does not entitle you to my property.

  1. Our teachers didn't show the speech. Way to disruptive in the educational process. Interupting education to speak on the importance of education...Silly.

  2. Even creepier than a President of the United States "kicking off the school year" had to be the "educational curriculum" sent out to the schools suggesting how to spend even more time in worshipping the "Dear One." Also, I was really frustrated by the commentary afterwards with, "oh you silly conservatives, what was so scary about that? It was a harmless speech with every conservative value you could want." Then, a little pat on the head. There, there now.
