Eminent Domain

Eminent Domain

Laura Ingraham had the Florida eminent domain case on her show this morning.  I forget the town but the mayor is terrible.  Typical socialist.  He doesn’t care about any arguments about property rights.  He totally disregarded all of that and said he has an emergency on his hands and that these poor people are in desperate need.

Need, emergency, and poverty do not trump property rights.  His argument is just tyranny.   The Supreme Court is wrong.  Eminent Domain cannot be used for commercial development or to “rescue people from poverty”.

Though I agree with a lot of what is said by various talk radio hosts, I find myself more and more not being able to listen to it. I used to enjoy it. Rush, Micheal Medved, Hugh Hewitt, Laura Ingram, et al, all seem like yes-men for the Bush administration to me. Plus, I think all the hosts I ahve mentioned have enormous egos, which annoys me. I know the purpose of your post was not talk radio but I thought I would add this anyway.

  2. Yeah, I partially agree. I don't listen to Rush. Doesn't tell me anything. Laura is fun, I have been disappointed with Hewitt lately. They bumped him out of the time slot. I like Prager. He is probably my favorite. I never hear him though because of the time. I used to listen to Savage and Boortz too. They are good but depressing. They don't do cheerleading.

As for big egos, I am not sure if you can do a good radio show without one
